This military jacket was worn during 1946 – 1957 after WW||. The jacket is made in a heavy wool melange and was the so called ‘khaki mele’ or ‘battle dress’ this jacket is tailored for a fit silhouette while it’s also loose enough to be worn over other layers. the construction is styled with a wide waist belt with metal closure, blind front closure and large patched chest pockets. the epaulets at the shoulders used to have metal plates on them while the jacket was still in use. at the sleeves there are different patches with the rounded patch tells you ‘technische troepen’ this jacket was from the technical department of the dutch army.
